The
pre-school side of the nursery is 3 joining
rooms, that work as one big room allowing
us to offer the children a wide range of
different activities whilst giving them
the chance to make their own decisions and
choices.
|
| The
Rainbow Room |
Generally
known as the messy room where children can
enjoy painting, water play, sand play, play
dough, gluk,
printing, clay, junk modelling and many more
messy activities. |
| Dream
Room |
| The smallest
of the 3 rooms where children can relax, read
books, listen to story tapes through headphones,
spend time at the drawing and writing table
or play with interactive displays |
| The
Garden Room |
| Offers
a range of small world toys, puzzles, games,
music area, house corner and dressing up area,
computer with internet access, and many other
activities to promote childrens early numeracy
and understanding of the world. This room
also leads directly to our large garden were
we spend a lot of our time. |
| Planning |
| Most
of the planning in pre-school comes from observations
and the children’s own interests. The
staff then share this with parents/carers
on a daily basis to build links with home
life/nursery, this enables us to plan for
the individual child. We also have a long
term plan to cover any festivals or cultural
events through out the year, this is supported
by the Child at the Centre and Curricular
Framework 3-5. |
