All of the staff
hold qualifications in child care or early
education or are working towards a qualification
in accordance with the requirements of the
Scottish Social Services Council.
We also
employ a teacher who comes in once a week and joins in with planning with the staff and also spends time
with the preschool children.
The Lead Practitioners are responsible
for the running of the nursery and administration,
long term planning, individual development
policies as well as caring roles.
We also have a Chef who comes in daily
to cook fresh food for the children and
two cleaners who come in daily.
A key worker system will be operated whereby
a child is allocated to a particular carer
who then becomes the parents'/carers’
main source of information about their child's
day. This is especially important during
the initial settling in period as it allows
both the child and the parents to build
up an individual relationship with a member
of the staff. However the child will also
be interacting daily with other members
of staff. |
