Baby room

The baby room will have a maximum of 6 children aged between 3-12 months, although these ages all depend on the developmental needs of the individual child. We have 3 members of staff. There is no set routine to this room as it is dictated by the individual needs of the children. The staff offer a wide range of activities and resources to stimulate the babies' bodies and minds that encourage them to reach their milestones.

Beanie room

The Beanie room can have up to 9 children at any one time split between the two rooms with 3 members of staff. The age of the children is around 12-18 months or when the child is that bit more mobile. The rooms offer space for the children to explore and are stocked with a good selection of toys to encourage hand eye coordination and fine movement skills. The children enjoy painting, art activities and messy play.
We use the smaller room for children who like to sleep in cots or for when the weather is not good enough to sleep outside in buggies.
Tweenie room

This room can have up to 6 children aged 18 months - 2 years with 2 members of staff. This room is for children who are now confident in movement and need a more structured environment to learn new skills. They enjoy activities such as singing, story time, art and crafts, sand and water, table top toys and they make great use of the indoor/outdoor resources. They also enjoy snack and lunch together making both experiences sociable and fun.

Toddler Room
The Toddler Room is for children aged between 2-3 years and can have up to 12 children with 3 members of staff. They enjoy many activities, with an art area, house corner, story corner, music area, construction and small world toys are available so they can begin to make their own choices and decisions. The Toddler room staff have planning once a fortnight when observations of the children are used to extend play as well as their interests and their needs are identified. At this stage of a child’s development toilet training usually starts so the toddlers have their own toilet where they are encouraged to practice personal hygiene.
